Harbor Desk Systems LLC ("Harbor Desk", "we") makes Relay and Spoolhouse, software that a small business installs and runs on its own computer. This page explains what information we handle and what we do with it.

This website

This site has no forms, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and time) for security.

Information we receive

  • When you email us: your name, email address and what you write. We use it only to reply and to support you.
  • When a business buys Relay or Spoolhouse: the business name, a contact name and email, the license we issue, and invoices.
  • Relay itself: the leads, messages and replies a business works with stay on that business's computer. Harbor Desk does not host, receive or keep a copy of them.
  • When a business pays: payments are processed by Stripe. We see the amount, the payer's name and email, and the receipt — never full card or bank account numbers.
  • Relay's update check: Relay downloads a public file to see whether a newer version exists. It sends nothing about the business's customers, and the license is checked on the computer itself.

We do not sell personal information. This site, Relay and Spoolhouse are meant for businesses, not for children under 18.

Spoolhouse

Spoolhouse is inventory, reorder and print-farm software for 3D-print shops. It runs on the shop's own computer.

  • The shop's data stays on the shop's computer. Orders, products and stock counts stay on that computer. Harbor Desk does not host, receive or keep a copy of them.
  • No buyer details: Spoolhouse keeps order numbers, items and quantities so it can reserve and count stock. It does not store buyers' names, addresses, emails or phone numbers.
  • Store connections: Spoolhouse talks to Shopify, TikTok Shop and Etsy directly from the shop's computer, with the permissions the shop approves. It only reads products and orders and updates stock counts. It never changes prices or listings.
  • TikTok Shop through Harbor Desk's app: when a shop connects TikTok Shop through Harbor Desk's app, TikTok requires each request to be signed with the app's secret, which Harbor Desk keeps on its own server. Harbor Desk's signing service signs those requests and does not store shop, order or buyer data. Its logs hold only request ids and outcomes, never request contents or sign-in tokens. The requests carry only the shop's own TikTok Shop product, order and stock information. The shop's TikTok sign-in stays encrypted on the shop's computer.
  • Disconnecting a store: when a shop disconnects a store, Spoolhouse deletes that store's sign-in tokens and data from the shop's computer.
  • Update check: Spoolhouse downloads a public, signed file to see whether a newer version exists. It sends nothing about the shop.
  • License check: when licensing is turned on, the check sends only the license id, a random install id and the Spoolhouse version.
  • Optional alerts and assistant: alerts go only to the shop's own Discord webhook, if the shop sets one up. The optional AI assistant runs on the shop's computer, and nothing is sent out.
  • Support bundle: a support bundle, with passwords and keys removed, reaches Harbor Desk only if the shop chooses to send it.

Spoolhouse does not send text messages and does not collect or share mobile numbers or text messaging consent. The text messaging commitments below apply to every Harbor Desk product.

Text messaging

Harbor Desk sends text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them, as described in our Text messaging terms. We use your mobile number only to send those messages and to honor STOP and HELP requests.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party.

The one exception is the texting provider that delivers our messages (Twilio), which receives a number only to deliver a message to it.

How long we keep information

Business and invoice records are kept as long as the law requires. Emails and texting records are kept while they are needed for support, and opt-out records are kept so that an opt-out is always honored.

Your choices

To see, correct or delete what we hold about you, email harbordesksystems@gmail.com. To stop texts, reply STOP to any message.

Changes

This policy is reviewed at least once a year and whenever our products or providers change. If it changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
